Bill and the Belles June 2023 UK tour dates announced

Bill and the Belles, June 2023

I’m so happy that we’ll soon be welcoming back the exceptional Bill and the Belles for a June 2023 tour of the UK. This inimitable, versatile Tennessee trio combines Americana and country roots with dashes of bluegrass, punk and Motown, all with glorious vocal harmonies and exquisite musicianship on fiddle, banjo and acoustic guitar. We booked their debut UK tour back in 2019, as well as hosting a storming gig for them in Sheffield, and they made many new fans across the country with their hugely entertaining performances. We’re pleased that their much-delayed (for obvious reasons) return is finally happening.

As well as being a great songwriter and frontman, guitarist Kris Truelsen is also an award-winning producer and presenter for WBCM Radio Bristol at the Birthplace of Country Music Museum in Bristol, Tennessee. The trio line-up is completed by the sensational Kalia Yeagle on fiddle (who also teaches Old Time Music at East Tennessee State University) and the brilliant Aidan VanSuetendael on banjo and banjo uke. As the house band for historic Radio Bristol programme Farm and Fun Time, Bill and the Belles regularly perform alongside America’s top roots music artists. The band has released two acclaimed albums to date and they have toured throughout the USA and across Europe. We’re really looking forward to welcoming them back to our shores, and they’ll also be heading across the Irish Sea on this trip, to perform for our pals over at Westport Folk & Bluegrass Festival in County Mayo. Fire in the Mountain festival in Wales will also be hosting them for performances and a workshop, alongside the rest of the UK dates.
