Our new True North Music booking agency site is now up and running! The new website is aimed at venues, promoters and festival programmers who are interested in booking one of our artists for a UK appearance, as well as artists working in the Americana, bluegrass and old time genres who may be interested in working with us to book a UK tour. It will also be of interest to music fans across the UK who want to keep an eye on upcoming concert dates by our artists. At the moment we are working on 2018 tours for three fabulous bands – The Railsplitters, Newberry & Verch and Evie Ladin & Keith Terry.
Booking full UK tours for some of our favourite musicians was a natural progression from promoting individual concerts here in Yorkshire. As many of our faithful followers will know, Maria Wallace has been successfully promoting concerts in Yorkshire under the True North Music banner since early 2015 and is proud to have recently won the Outstanding Promoter award at the Yorkshire Gig Guide Grassroots Awards in October 2017!
True North Music is well connected on the UK live music scene and will continue to build excellent relationships with a huge range of UK venues, festivals and promoters. We prefer to work with a small number of top notch artists in order to give each tour the loving attention it needs. And of course we will still also be putting on a whole programme of excellent gigs here in Yorkshire. It’s all connected, and it’s all brilliant, life-affirming stuff – thanks and appreciation go out to all the ticket buyers, bands, friends, followers, helpers and concert promoters who have helped us on this journey so far!
