Tickets are out now for fabulous five-piece The Railsplitters (USA) who’ll be playing in the lovely Marsden Mechanics hall on Friday 8th April 2016. True North Music is delighted to be hosting this acclaimed Colorado band, who play a modern style of bluegrass that draws on diverse influences across pop, jazz and rock & roll, as well as being rooted in the bluegrass traditions of excellent musicianship and great harmony singing. Featuring banjo, fiddle, guitar, mandolin and upright bass, and with two highly praised albums to their credit, The Railsplitters are a class act.
Marsden is a large village set in beautiful scenery a few miles west of Huddersfield, within easy reach of Leeds, Manchester and beyond by road and rail. The Mechanics Hall is an impressive 19th Century building in the centre of Marsden, with a fine concert room that’s also the chief venue for many Marsden Jazz Festival concerts each autumn. We’re very happy to be bringing The Railsplitters to this fabulous local venue.
