Hello music lovers, I hope you’re all staying safe and well. As most of our regulars know, we’ve been very cautious throughout the pandemic and it’s now just over two years since we hosted our last real-life concerts in February 2020. We’ve managed to keep the flame burning with some online events, but we’re now making plans to resume True North Music’s actual live music series this year! (pandemic permitting of course). I’m putting together our first one-day roots music festival here in Yorkshire on 25th June (save the date) and also booking UK-wide tours for some simply exceptional USA and Canada artists.
Promoters, venue programmers and festival organisers: please check out the upcoming tours page for more information and links, and contact us here to book any of the artists. Music fans: stay tuned for tour dates and ticket news, and do tell your favourite local venue, if you’d like to see one of our artists perform there!
TOURS COMING UP THIS YEAR….
Evie Ladin & Keith Terry – late April/early May 2022
Hugely entertaining California duo blending Appalachian folk-roots and Americana (on banjo, bass and percussion). Evie and Keith are spectacular in live performance. with their unique mix of music, step dance and body percussion. Tour dates coming soon. We have one or two available dates left.
Jake Blount & his band – late May/early June 2022
Rising star of folk-Americana and his stringband, Jake Blount is an outstanding musician, singer and scholar of traditional music and a winner of the 2020 Steve Martin Banjo Prize. We’re booking UK tour dates around Jake’s engagement at a much loved roots music festival. Still looking to fill some dates across England, Scotland and Wales.

This young duo is steeped in old-time Americana, folk and bluegrass, and have both been playing music for most of their lives. Viv and Riley bring us exquisite singing and songwriting and fabulous musicianship. We’re booking a handful of UK dates around their visit to a (different) major festival and only have a couple remaining.

This award-winning Colorado trio is chock-full of amazing musicianship, brilliant songwriting and the most mesmerising, powerful stage presence. Blending bluegrass, old style country roots, Americana, blues and more, Stillhouse Junkies won the IBMA 2021 Band Momentum Award.
The Slocan Ramblers – September 2022

AJ Lee & Blue Summit – late Oct/early Nov 2022
An exceptional California quintet, AJ Lee & Blue Summit shift with ease between lush Americana originals, footstomping bluegrass and classic jazz/swing numbers.
