I’m delighted to announce that True North Music is now offering UK tour booking services to a small number of excellent Americana, bluegrass, old time and folk artists. When I started putting on gigs in Yorkshire 18 months ago, I was already well connected in the UK bluegrass, old time and folk music communities, after spending a fair few years singing, playing and learning about the music, attending and writing about gigs, teaching camps, festivals and workshops. Through these connections, I’ve been helping musicians on an informal basis for quite a while, to get gigs across the UK, and I’ve managed to book some fantastic musicians to play in my own True North Music concert programme here in Yorkshire. I’ve also drawn on my 20 years in marketing management when promoting this wonderful music.
I’m excited to be working with two sets of highly accomplished American artists as I embark on this new venture – Hen’s Teeth (Jane Rothfield & Nathan Bontrager) and The Evie Ladin Duo (Evie Ladin & Keith Terry).
