We’re delighted to announce that sensational California acoustic duo Evie Ladin & Keith Terry will be performing at the prestigious WOMAD Festival in Wiltshire this July, as part of their upcoming UK tour. WOMAD (World of Music, Arts and Dance) was established in 1982 by Peter Gabriel and is now renowned as one of the premier festivals in the UK. Featuring artists from 27 countries around the globe, WOMAD is “a global fiesta of music, food, dance & art” so Evie and Keith are sure to be a huge hit with festival-goers, as their live show is a highly entertaining mix of American roots music, singing and dance!
Evie Ladin is steeped in Appalachian music and dance, but also brings an urban edge and contemporary vision to her music. Ranging effortlessly across traditional music and dance, singer-songwriter and world/fusion genres, Evie is a hugely entertaining and engaging performer. Originally trained as a jazz drummer, Keith Terry takes care of percussive duties on double bass, cajon and more, as well as joining Evie in dance elements of their performances. Keith is a leading proponent of the art of body percussion, and the duo’s UK tour will follow their trip to Ghana to participate in the International Body Music Festival.
Evie and Keith will be leading a body music workshop at WOMAD in addition to performing at the festival, and are excited to be part of this exceptional festival. Tickets are out now, visit the WOMAD website for full details. Stay tuned for a full list of Evie & Keith’s July tour dates, coming soon!
